Advertisement for Bids: C1615 – FPDCC – Restroom Rehabilitation Districtwide Busse Woods and Dan Ryan Woods

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC) has invited all Contractors to bid on PBC Contract C1615, Forest Preserve District of Cook County (“FPDCC”) Restroom Rehabilitation Districtwide Busse Woods and Dan Ryan Woods.

The Forest Preserve District of Cook County (“FPDCC”) Restroom Rehabilitation Districtwide Busse Woods and Dan Ryan Woods Project is located in the following areas:

Busse Woods (E. Higgins Road/Rte. 72, East of I-290/Hwy. 53 in unincorporated Cook County)

Dan Ryan Woods (S. Western Avenue and W. 78th Street in Wards 18 and 19)

The project consists of the renovation of twelve (12) existing restroom facilities for use by patrons of Busse Woods and Dan Ryan Woods. The proposed renovation scope to the existing restrooms will include at a minimum: reroofing, providing barrier free access, new doors, lighting, flooring, and replacement of any nonfunctioning or damaged elements.  Complete cosmetic upgrades at select restroom facilities may include replacement of existing dividing cmu walls with new toilet partitions, new finishes and all new fixtures and accessories.  Potable water will also be provided through UV water treatment at four facilities in Busse Woods. This project includes add alternates, which are included in the Bid Form.

PRE-BID/SITE VISIT ACTIVITIES:

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, PBC will host a Non-Mandatory Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting at 10:00 a.m., and a Non-Mandatory Virtual Technical Review Meeting at 10:30 a.m. on ZOOM virtual meeting platform.  Subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged to attend.

A Public Bid Opening, streamed on the PBC YouTube channel, will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
