Advertisement for Bids: Contract C1601 – Sauganash Elementary School Annex II and Renovations

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC) has invited all Class A Prequalified firms to bid on PBC Contract C1601, Sauganash Elementary School Annex II and Renovations.

The Sauganash Elementary School is located at 6040 Kilpatrick Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

The project consists of the construction of a new 3-story, approximately 42,900 GSF, facility with supporting spaces, demolition of existing 1954 gymnasium, site utilities relocation, UST removal, selective existing school renovations, and associated site development.  This Project includes a Phasing Plan.

BID OPENING:

Sealed bids shall be received at the Public Building Commission, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Room 200, between 9:00a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 . PLEASE NOTE: The PBC office located at 50 West Washington, Room 200, Chicago, Illinois will only be open for drop off of bids on October 28, 2021  commencing at 9:30a.m. Mail has been sporadic due to COVID-19.  The PBC recommends firms submit their bid electronically to bids@pbcchicago.com and patricia.montenegro@cityofchicago.org. Please refer to Book 1 Instructions to Bidders, Submission of Bids, for further instructions.  Public Bid Opening will be held immediately following receipt of bids.
