This Contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).

Construction Budget:
$78,000,000.00 (excluding Allowances and Commission’s Contingency Funds).

Bid Deposit:
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the amount of: 5% of bid. The guarantee shall be made by bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check payable to the order of the Public Building Commission of Chicago. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guarantee. Cash deposits will not be accepted.

MBE/WBE Contract Goals:
24% MBE and 4% WBE.

Pre-Bid Conference:
A pre-bid conference to be held at 10:00AM on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington Street, in room CL115 located on the concourse level.

Mandatory Technical Review Meeting:
All registered full set Plan Holders are required to attend the mandatory technical review meeting which will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington Street, in room CL115 located on the concourse level.

Bids submitted by contractors who have not properly registered and attended the mandatory technical review meeting will not be considered.

An authorized representative of each registered full set plan holder must be present and must sign the Mandatory Technical Review Meeting attendance sheet no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled start of the meeting. Bidders that do not sign-in by 10:15AM will not be permitted to bid.

Note: Only registered full set Plan Holders who attend the Mandatory Technical Review will be eligible to bid.

Sealed bids, must be delivered by or before 2:00pm (CST) on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 to the attention of Janice Meeks, Public Building Commission of Chicago, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 W. Washington Street, Room 200, Chicago, IL 60602.
