General Construction Work23rd District Police Station & Parking Garage
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for General Construction Work from General Contractors (including firms proposing to have a controlling interest in General Contractor Joint Ventures) with demonstrated experience as a General Contractor constructing police stations and parking structure or other projects of similar complexity, type and size with construction costs in excess of $35,000,000 for the following project:
- 23rd District Police Station & Parking Garage, 850 W. Addison (Project# 9050)
The new station will consist of a two-story 44,000 square foot masonry prototypical building. The project will contain male and female locker rooms, roll call room, exercise room, sally port, holding cells, interview rooms, evidence areas, 100 seat community room, administrative offices, and a 150 foot communications tower. The parking garage will consist of a four-story 139,000 square foot poured-in-place concrete structure. The garage is designed to accommodate 361 vehicles utilizing a double-helix ramp system. The project is designed to achieve the Public Building Commissions minimum goal of LEED “Silver” Certification.
