Uniting America will be celebrating Flag Day as a significant, annual holiday celebrated nationwide and highlighting immigrant contributions to the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. The Uniting America Program is an AmeriCorps Program in partnership with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Uniting America builds bridges between immigrants and their native-born neighbors through volunteer work, community dialogue and youth civic leadership.
