On Saturday, April 21, 2018, Chicagoans can join a two decade long tradition of teaming up with community groups and the City of Chicago to help beautify communities across the City.
As it has in the past, “Clean & Green” offers individuals as well as groups an opportunity to join with the City of Chicago to help make neighborhoods and communities cleaner and more attractive. We provide brooms, rakes, trash bags and other tools; the people give a little time and a lot of spirit! The result is a better and cleaner place for everyone to live, work and do business.
It’s easy to get involved. Just assemble a team and sign up to clean a neighborhood location near you.
Participating Clean and Green groups should note the following:
- Registration deadline is Monday, April 16th
- All groups should call 311 to register.
- DSS will provide bags, rakes, shovels and brooms.
- Tools will be available prior to the day of service and pickup should be coordinated with your local Alderman’s office or Ward Superintendent.
