Underground Low Voltage Services (Lakefront North Fiber Extension)

PBC Alert 15-020 The Public Building Commission of Chicago has invited eight firms to bid on Contract C1572 for the Underground Low Voltage Services project. All eight firms have been pre-qualified to bid. The project consists of extending existing fiber optic cable located at Fullerton and Lake Shore Drive to Addison and Lake Shore Drive. The path will include using a mix of existing Chicago Park District duct and new duct placed with directional boring. Additionally, fiber and power will be run from the main back bone to future camera locations. At both Fullerton and Addison, there will be an exterior cabinet that will house the fiber splices and terminations. Daley Center, 50 West Washington. Sub-contractors and suppliers are invited to attend to meet the pre-qualified contractors bidding on this project. After the pre-bid meeting, a list of firms attending will be added to the Web site ad. Sealed bids shall be received at the Public Building Commission, Richard J. Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Room 200, until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at which time they will be publicly opened.
