The PBC Board has approved a Partial Undertaking Request from the Board of Education for a new annex at Stephen Decatur Classical Elementary School.
Decatur is a K-6 school for academically advanced students. The school is named after Stephen Decatur, an American Naval Officer in the Revolutionary War.
PBC’s anticipated scope of work at Decatur includes the construction of a new annex and improvements to the existing school and site. The annex is projected to house a gym with stage, lunch/multipurpose room, additional classrooms and a library. Renovations to the existing school building include updates to classrooms and repairs to the roof. Site improvements include parking upgrades and a new play area.
