PBC Hosts Annual Meeting Board Meeting

Bryan S. Traubert and David J. Vitale Continue Their Commitment to Serve and Guide the PBC

CHICAGO – At the PBC’s annual board meeting today, two board members were reappointed to five-year terms. Bryan S. Traubert, Chicago Park District Board President, and David J. Vitale, President of the Chicago Board of Education, committed through oath performed by Chairman Mayor Rahm Emanuel to continue their valuable service to the PBC.

“The Public Building Commission of Chicago is grateful for the continued commitment and expertise of these esteemed board members,” said PBC Executive Director. “It is with their guidance that the PBC continues its successful mission of client service and strong stewardship of public funds.”

Bryan S. Traubert has been a PBC board member since April 2010.  He is a board certified ophthalmologist, civic leader, health expert, and wellness advocate. Dr. Traubert is also President of the Pritzker Traubert Family Foundation (PTFF), an organization dedicated to enhancing public education and quality of life in Chicago.

A board member since August 2011, David J. Vitale currently serves as the Chairman of Urban Partnership Bank, a newly formed bank serving the financially underserved neighborhoods of Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit. Mr. Vitale also served as Chief Administrative Officer for the Chicago Public School System from 2003 – 2008 and is active in many corporate, civic and charitable boards.

Also at the meeting, the PBC distributed its Annual Report highlighting the 19 projects completed in 2012.  For these projects, the PBC remained on track with exemplary cost and schedule performance and successfully delivered on time and on budget.
