WHAT: The Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC), the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Chicago Park District (CPD) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), will host their second ‘in-person’ community meeting for the Morgan Shoal Revetment Reconstruction project. Representatives will provide responses and updates to the input and questions from the February 22, 2024 community meeting while offering information on the project status.

DETAILS: The Morgan Shoal Revetment Reconstruction Project is located along the Lake Michigan Shoreline between 45th and 51st Streets. The project is the latest phase of the Chicago Shoreline Protection Project, a long-term shoreline reconstruction project undertaken by the CDOT, CPD, and the USACE. In conjunction with its partners, the PBC is managing the development of planning, design, procurement, and construction of the project.
“In addition to the team listening and responding to verbal questions, the intent of the February 22nd community meeting was to receive input and discuss project status, including the team’s planning and design efforts,” Ray Giderof, PBC’s Acting Executive Director said. “The intent of this meeting will be to provide an update regarding the February 22nd community input and questions.”
